The J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences is the largest and most academically diverse unit at the University of Arkansas, with 19 departments and more than 30 academic programs and research centers offering degrees in the fine arts, humanities, natural sciences and social sciences.
It also provides the core curriculum for all U of A students and is named in honor of J. William Fulbright, the former university president and longtime U.S. senator.
Our college is home to more than 41,250 alumni who live, work and make a difference around the world. Each of these graduates represent a piece of the Fulbright legacy of “Peace Through Education.”
And each year, more than 2,575 alumni and friends generously support Fulbright College through annual gifts. We rely on annual philanthropy to provide immediate support to our students, faculty and departments through scholarships, endowments and more.
Your gifts help create new possibilities to fund initiatives not previously sponsored and ensure a perpetual source of support that builds over time and ultimately transforms the college’s programs and reputation.
Every gift, regardless of size, helps fuel the college’s daily mission and supports the Fulbright experience, which is rooted in our namesake’s vision that,
“…the highest function of higher education is the teaching of things in perspective, toward the purposes of enriching the life of the individual, cultivating the free and inquiring mind, and advancing the effort to bring reason, justice, and humanity into the relations of men and nations.”
